Researchers:

Thank you for your interest in the VIA strengths and their measurement. The scales have good reliability and accumulating validity, but the creators of the measures, Christopher Peterson and Nansook Park, are still developing and refining them. To this end, they invite your collaboration in the investigation of character strengths. Their goals are to coordinate different research projects and to maintain a broad overview and oversight of work at this critical juncture in the VIA project. We want the VIA inventories to be used in their entirety, in adequately-powered studies addressing novel issues, and with research participants who can plausibly complete self-report surveys.   Subject to approval by VIA, researchers will be provided with a research code whereby the subjects of the study can complete the appropriate VIA Inventory online, and the data will then be provided to the researcher.

Once you have requested and are issued a Research Code, your study subjects will enter the code when they take the survey.  You will contact us when all have completed the survey and we will issue a report of your group.
