The VIA Institute on Character, a non-profit organization, advances the science and practice of character. VIA aims to fill the world with greater virtue—i.e. greater levels of wisdom, courage, humanity, justice, temperance, and transcendence. It does so by helping individuals learn about character strengths and how to apply them to their personal pursuits and relationships to achieve greater life satisfaction, social good, and actualization of potential. VIA also provides resources to professionals using character strengths in their work. For example, VIA offers the VIA PRO Character Strength Report and Free Practitioner's Guide as well as on-line courses designed to support professionals using VIA Character Strengths with their clients.
